Pt Schedule requests customization
Regarding online patient requests: It would be great to be able to customize the information that is asked of the patient at the time they are requesting an appointment. Currently they are only asked to enter name and phone number. In our officemate system we cannot create a new pt profile with only that information. We must have at least date of birth in addition to the rest. So what happens is we have a request but we cannot create a profile until we call them for date of birth so therefore we cannot put them in an appointment spot. We do send a link to do the online paperwork and if they respond quickly then we can get them scheduled. But often they do not respond on the patient forms fast enough before the appointment they requested is filled by another patient. Then they show up thinking they had the appointment or are upset when we call them to pick a different appointment time. If we could add just the one additional question then we could actually hold the spot for them that they requested because they can have a patient profile without further contact from us. And of course it would be great if we could have email as a secondary form of contact.
One more suggestion: When you open a chat with a representative you are asked to put your name, email, business name, and phone number. Then the representative joins the chat and asks you for it all again. Unless it is required to verify twice it would be nice if the first time it was entered it was view-able to the representative and didn't need repeated.
