Recognize Non-Appointment Block Offs/Better Schedule Syncing
We are a veterinary clinic and we use AviMark. Within AviMark, there is options to create "scheduled block offs" within the schedule so that appointments cannot (or should not) be booked in that particular spot for varying reasons. In our clinic, we usually use these blocks to create the schedule and make adjustments throughout the day/week. We do it this way for ease of scheduling as there are sometimes where a different doctor takes over surgeries that day, or someone is sick so is replaced by someone else etc. so this way is just easier for us to manouver things around. Currently, Weave does not recognize anything within the schedule that is not an appointment, so when we have a block off for surgical time (for example) Weave interprets that as that we have appointment availability when that is not true. There is an alternate way to create the schedule within AviMark, in which a schedule is set up similar to how Weave currently does it. However, Weave doesn't recognize that either because it is not an 'appointment', so it doesn't matter anyways. Therefore, in order to fix this and make it so that appointment times do not even show up for clients looking to request an appointment online, we created our schedule as we would normally in AviMark, but then have created "fake appointments" on top of those blocks so that block offs are recognized. This will hopefully appease clients who find it frustrating to have appointment options listed but they aren't true options. It makes it much more work for my front end team and adds approximately another 30-60 mins of time when creating the schedules (which we do a month in advance), plus additional time any changes are made. I would highly suggest better integration/syncing with scheduling within AviMark to make this more of a streamlined process, particularly for my front end team.
