Missed text auto reply
We would really love an option for "auto reply to text messages" Example: Closed for holiday weekend. If a patient texts us, it would be nice if an automatic reply could be set that informs patient we got msg, but are closed until (date) and we will respond when we get back into the office.
This is now available to all locations! (Unless you're on the Essentials bundle - sorry!) Just go to Portal > Messages > Auto-Messaging and configure a new auto-message! The section labeled Missed Text will be grayed out until you create a Missed Text message.

Matt, How quickly do you think this feature will be up and running? As an orthodontist, this one is absolutely a game changer and super critical. Most of our new patients like to text us to schedule a new patient exam and many do so after hours. Podium has this feature as I've been on the other end of it as a consumer and it works really well. I've been inquiring for over a year now. I know it's not all about me but I really don't want to switch providers at this point. Please, if at all possible, can we have a timeline of when this feature might become available? Thank you!!! Love our weave products and services.

We are not in the office thurs after 3pm or Fridays after 12, so patients send in a text and don't receive a text back or call until the next business day (on a Fri, it's not till Monday). Would be nice to let them know that we are not ignoring them, just not in the office. So a text with our name and hrs of operation on it and stating it's ok to send text but if ER them to call office and listen to prompts to reach DR on call. So auto text would be great!

We need a after hours automated text message that gets sent when someone texts us after hours that lets patients know we are not here. We have patients texting us on weekends expecting us to reply and then they are frustrated because we did not until our regularly scheduled business hours. We do not use the weave app on our personal phones to reply to texts when our office is closed, why would any employer want to pay an employee for an entire weekend of hours to monitor text messages? Very impractical, which is why the automated out of office text message, that replies back to text messages would be invaluable. Your competitor SoultionReach has this feature, and it is great. Thank you.

After hours, when a text comes in, it would be nice to have an automatic response set up like an afterhours voicemail or out of office email or the missed call text.

We have trained our patients to text us before calling - from concerns to appoitment requests to paying bills. This has been amazing for our work flow!
It is so disappointing that we have no auto text response feature to use during holidays and after hours. During vacation the texts go unanswered or someone has to log in on vacation via the mobile app to respond. The auto missed call text is not useful as we have a voicemail to let those patients know we are closed. . An AUTO TEXT BACK feature would be so useful and such a selling feature to those not already using Weave! Please work on this needed feature!!! -

Automated Text Messages after hours. When patients text after hours, there should be a function where an automated text is sent. Especially when patients are texting medical questions after hours. This will direct to the appropriate medium. i.e. the physican on call.

When on vacation the text messages coming in should be able to have a way to text a response that the office is away. So many patients have stated that they are unhappy that it is taking to long for a response and have located another dentist while we were closed. Our voicemail tells them we are closed but the texts do not. Very frustrating.

There needs to be a feature added that if a patient texts our office after hours or on weekends that they get a text back stating it is after hours and to please call the answering service.

We would love a feature that when you are closed for holiday's/after hours and a patient sends a text and being able to have a generated response saying the whole sorry we missed you and we are happy to help when we return to the office on this day and time etc. It would be super helpful so patients don't feel as if they are being ignored especially over a long break!

It would be extremely helpful for there to be a feature we could enable during the hours our office is closed where any texts that come through will receive an automated text reply, letting them know our hours and to reach back out during business hours. Right now we are only able to do that with the phones but come in on Monday morning to over a dozen text messages.

I am creating a marketing campaign and will be sending it out via e mail. It would be good if the patients name can be inserted. EX: Dear Mr. Jones.....
Also, When the office is closed for vacation or holiday, and we have our phone tree on, it would also be good for a response to a patients text message or the same phone tree message to be sent back to the patient text.
Please look into this as we have had a few angry patients from us not responding when on vacation.Another idea our office has, is to have an event show up on the app schedule. Ex. An event is occurring between 12:30 and 2. We just had a staff meeting blocked off but on the app it showed open and a patient was then scheduled for that time. We rescheduled her but it could have been a high production appt.
