Enable Manual Texting for Home Number
We like to put patient's cell phone numbers in the Home Phone field when they don't want to receive automated texts. We have always had the ability to send a "manual text" by typing in the phone number in Weave, however. Now that you changed it to give a "this is not a mobile phone " message, we are UNABLE to send any manual texts unless the phone number is in the home phone slot. A simple fix would be to have the message pop up, for a warning, but not actually disable you from sending. Please fix.

Modify the code to include the home phone number. Currently Weave will ONLY text the "mobile" or "Pager" of Dentrix and other Dental Problems. I and thousands of other Dentists would greatly benefit from the code to be modified to include: Generically written " If Mobile !exist then text Home" ! = does not exist or "NOT".
I have 3000 patients that need a mobile phone number. I don't have the time to click 5 times per patient times 3000 to modify their patient file. Or I'd have to contact Dentrix to create a SQL query to update every patient from the Home number field. It would behoove Weave to make the change. :)

The update to the texting section of the desktop software is terrible. We can't text anything but the primary number. The primary number may be a landline or the Mr's number when it's the Mrs's we need to text. Not being able to text anything but the primary number makes this feature unusable in a great number of the cases. This will be deal breaker for us if this is not resolved.

office feature request: unable to send normal texts, only allows a cell phone number listed. We used to be able to text any number but now if it is not under the cell phone specifically it does not go through. This makes it extremely difficult to try to alert our patients through text, we have a hurricane coming and are trying to communicate via text. Some of them don't want the normal texts so we put their phone number in the home phone spot and then when emergency's occur and we try to text the number anyway it does not allow us to. It is very frustrating
It would be nice if we could text the secondary number on the account. For Example: When the husband is the primary owner and the wife is contacting us about the patient we are not able to communicate with her using the text option since his number is the primary number
The update to the texting feature has caused a major issue in our clinic. We NEED to be able to add a phone number to text, as we have new clients and texting is a new feature to our clinic. We do not always have client cell number up to date. We need to be able to text to a phone number we enter and update records as we go. This update has been very inconvenient and needs to be updated again to allow us to enter phone number manually to send texts. The quicker the better!! The texting function is basically useless to us now.
The latest update has taken away our ability to text a number that is not the primary cell number. There are many times when we text a secondary number (like the other parent).
We feel this is a great loss to us. This update did not add value to us, it removed a valuable feature. Please fix. We would like to be able to add a phone number in, and text to that number whether or not it is in the Weave system.
We can no longer send text messages to numbers that are not marked as mobile. We NEED this feature! If there is a way to do this, I'm all ears, but have looked all over this app and the support page and have found nothing. Please give us this ability back ASAP!!
To be able to text secondary phone number within the same account. We are only able to text phone numbers that are listed as primary.
