Phone Directory
Would be great for us to have the ability to add numbers to our directories on our own! Having to call and update with someone else has been difficult.
We've made the following improvements to Phone Directories:
1. We enabled the ability for the phone to save input data to our system so that no data inputs are removed upon reboot/reprovision. This means if you use the phone's T9 interface to add contacts to your local directory, they will save. (Finally, I know). This function is currently only working for Yealink devices, but will begin functioning on Polycoms in the next couple of weeks.
2. We've added a Contact Directories feature to the Weave Admin Portal that allows you to
- build lists of business contacts
- apply up to 5 business contact lists to any Yealink device (per manufacturer limitations)
- manage business contacts and business contact lists for all devices in your office
We want to continue to improve your experience with managing your business contacts and how you utilize them throughout your workday. Please continue to provide feedback in this area as you see room for improvement.

Customers should now be able to save contacts via their Yealink deskphone as expected. Further updates to come.

Currently, there is a way to manually upload a patient contact list via CSV in the "customer" section. Would be helpful if there was another section to upload referral business contacts to be able to track and communicate with them easier.

I would like to be able to program my own directory on my Yealink phone. I was able to do that with the last company that I had a Yealink phone

I would love to have a speed dial list. I call the same insurance companies all day long so it would be nice to be able to just click the insurance company's name and have the phone dial out. It would also be very helpful to have it for our referring dentists since we're contacting the same offices often.

Put individual folders for each phone line with their own directory instead of one big list. There are different departments with different directories.

Let me fill in my phone contacts. You did it for me and it's a complete fail. My directory is unusable. Alison @ Dr. Creaghe's (415) 453-0744

The office staff should be able to access the company phone directory to make changes, corrections and additions. It is very time consuming to call for support for such a simple task.

For the .csv upload file. it would be *extremely* helpful also have the option to include a company name associate with the person, as well as a notes field. We are a vendor that serves medical facilities and we need to know which company that person belongs.

Contact Directory, it seems inefficient that I need to submit names and phone numbers to customer support to create/add to a contact directory. Is that a function that can be added to the office software?

We LOVE Weave! Except.... when trying to build my directory it kept being deleted each night. Finally I found out YOU need to input our contacts. I'm sorry, but this is laborious and very inefficient. Why can't this be a function in the Admin portal and then a button added on the dashboard named "Contacts" or "Phone Directory". Since you deal with only dental/optometry/vet practices it is not like these types of offices have hundreds of individual users. A community base of often used numbers for referrals, labs, etc , easily found, would be so helpful. I'm not a software designer, so I don't know how to do this, just that from a user perspective it would enhance the function. Thank you for reading this!

It would be great if we were able to edit the phone directory by ourselves instead of sending the file into support to get numbers updated every time. Currently every time the phone reboots, all the numbers in the directory that we add, get erased

We are finished with the start-up phase with Weave. The feature that allows us to add groups to the directory does not work. I send in an excel spread sheet for all contacts. I listed them with group names added. Once Weave input that information, I added groups on my phone directory. I have done this task several times. Each time being assured that they would not be lost. Each time they were lost. I finally talked with a team member at Weave who explained that there was a problem with the IT part of this feature and it might be a bit before it is resolved. Weave has been offered to us for at least 2 years. That seem long enough to have worked out all the kinks. Please communicate the prospect of being able to use this feature on our phone system. We are happy with the support team but the set up seem too "do it yourself" for this type of system> Joan Covell

We would love to be able to update our directory ourselves as opposed to calling in to Weave to change it

I'm requesting a feature on the phone where we can group our directory into different groups. It would make it much easier to find numbers that we use often, rather than having all of our contacts listed under one group.

I would like a way to access phone extension details by user name that also can be displayed, scrolled through and accessed on the phone instrument. This would negate the need for any sort of "paper" phone directory.

It would be great to have sub categories on the phone directory. For example, "Labs," "Insurance," "Doctors," "Staff," etc.

I would like to be able to sync my online contacts into my phone so that they appear in my directory and show on the phone screen who is calling instead of just my computer.

Since we do efax now through Weave, it would be incredibly helpful to have a directory so staff could easily use the directory instead of looking up the number over and over. We have several offices we refer to, so having those handy/not having to type them each time (as well as other frequently faxed numbers) would be very helpful.

It would be very nice to be able to access our phone directory through the computer portal rather then just through the phone. Similar to how we can pull up our patients individually.
