This would probably be the number one thing we would fix in the app. Every time we hire a new employee, we have to drill into them that pressing Enter will send the text, not go to the next line, and invariably, everyone accidentally sends a few unfinished texts before getting it into their muscle memory. Even experienced users occasionally make mistakes.
Although there is the Shift-Enter option to go to a new line, that is not intuitive for most people, as few other applications use that function.
I propose reversing the current Enter vs. Shift-Enter functions. Enter should create a new line, while Shift-Enter should send the message. This change would reduce accidental sends while still allowing experienced users to maintain a quick workflow.
I understand that many users are accustomed to the current setup, and reversing it could create similar adjustment issues. Ideally, this could be a customizable setting, allowing each user to choose their preferred Enter/Shift-Enter configuration.
*Note - there is already a post to this effect under the legacy app, but I felt it was especially important that it be brought up for the new app, since the legacy app will soon be discontinued.

Currently, the "Pet Name" and "Pets' Names" tags are available in the legacy app, but not the new app. When importing templates that have one of those tags from the legacy app to the new app, it replaces the tag with a plain-text "{pet_name}," which the staff has to go in and manually replace each time the text a client. Sometimes that gets missed, which is embarrassing for the practice.
Since we've been told that Weave will soon be discontinuing the legacy app, it's vital that this be updated in the new app so that all of Weave's veterinary clients aren't inconvenienced.

Hey Lizzie,
I don't work for Weave, but wanted to let you can turn this on in the new app by going to Settings, then "Messaging," then toggle on the "Utilize Actionable Tab" option.
