Emergency After hours calls, we need to be able to see calls that came in, if no messsage was left
On Saturday 2/24, a call came in at 7:30 am, but there was no record of it. The patient pressed a button, to get to the on call doctor, me, however I never received the call, it went right to voice mail. I did not see the VM till monday 2/26. I was in the office on Saturday, and my people look for messages, as well as who called in. The patient had an emergency, and was leaving town next day. I did not get the call, and the patient probably thinks I am an uncaring practice, which no doubt would leave a bad taste in their mouth so to speak. It's too late to help them. Had we seen the call , we would have been able to reach out to them, even though they did not leave a message on the office phone.
