recall for patients' 6 month cleaning needs to be fixed
I had a patient who called the beginning of April to say she will be in town the end of April, and will like to make an appointment for a night guard impression. She was also supposed to get a text April 15th to schedule her cleaning in June. Because she was scheduled for a 20 minute night guard impression, she did not get her alert to schedule a cleaning. Usually, most people would understand that this is a glitch in your system, but she ripped me apart. And honestly, though I don't love her language and manner of how she went about it, she was right to be mad. I have talked to 2 different support staff, and they both say this is not a new thing and I am just now noticing it, but that is not the case. We never had patients fall off the radar until this year. So now I am having to manually go through reports to make sure patients are getting their reminders, which is a pain. The recall reminders ask which appointments the patients are due for, eg adult recall, 3/4 month recall, etc. So it shouldn't be a problem for them to get reminders even if they are scheduled for an emergency or impressions for bleach trays. Please help me out here
