Make CSV contacts editable/deletable
Offices would love to be able to edit CSV contacts in weave instead of keeping a running record using a CSV file. This adds a ton of more work for the offices and it can cause errors in the long run as patients/clients get new phone numbers or change any other information. This has been a headache for many offices. If Weave is able to emulate or show that information, it should be able to make it editable. Comment from office, "Weave has been so modern and usable thus far, so it is crazy that it is missing something so fundamental." We can see that this is a need for multiple offices using our system.

Please make it possible to edit/update and delete patient profiles that were input from a CSV file. This not being available is a BIG issue. As it currently is now we are unable to edit patient profiles that were originally imported from bulk CSV file. This is a huge drawback, as when the patients change their phone numbers or emails the system will not let us do so. And the only way to fix this would be to replace the entire original CSV file. That is literally hundreds of patient profiles and a huge problem as it is not feasible. Also, when the original CSV file was uploaded it was uploaded without patient birthdays and then caused problems with the text to pay system as it would not allow us to send a text to pay link without the patient profile having the birthday in the profile. When we tried to go and put the patient birthdays in it would not let us do so. Causing us to have to manually create duplicate accounts per each patient. This is ridiculous that your program does not allow these profiles to be edited, and it is not due to them coming from a CSV file, this is a lack in your program. I work with CMR systems and have manually uploaded CSV files for bulk contact imports to them many times and have no issues editing or updating those contacts after the fact. This is a draw back in the Weave system specifically and needs to be addressed. I hope you take this suggestion seriously and work to add this feature while also adding the ability to access/edit/update/view patient profiles in the portal as well.

Weave isn't integrated with our software (ezyvet). I was told adding our customers would be easy (not even a little bit) and now we cant even edit those customers without editing the cvs file and reloading it.

This is such an important matter to the offices. Our patient's came in as minors and had their parent's phone numbers originally. Now, their information is correct and HIPPA compliance is in jeopardy with not being able to update their phone numbers.

Currently, the only option to update the patient contact information is to upload a CSV with the updated patient information along with all of the other patients who do not need updating. This is frustrating, especially if you are adding new patient information daily or have multiple patients within foster care whose contact information could be changing all of the time. It's my understanding that when the information is re-uploaded, we could even loose all of the past contact we had with that patient so we can't reference past conversations.
The proposed solution would be to allow users to update patient contact info directly from the Weave desktop app and to allow adding new patients this way instead of having to upload a CSV document daily (maybe even multiple times per day, depending on your volume of new patients).

It would be nice to be able to edit the patient's profile through weave. Adding or deleting patient's phone number and email address. Of course we can edit through our dental software with Dentrix but it either lags with updating through weave or it doesn't at all.

Canada Chiropractic would also like the ability to edit and delete without having to do it in the CSV and re-upload. Any chance of getting something like excel or numbers built into Weave for Core offices?

Auto Service House would also like edit ability.
It is inconvenient/inefficient to have to re-upload the CSV every time a simple edit needs to be made.
I understand that it's a matter of, where the record originated is where you need to edit it:
If the patient record was made in Weave, edit in Weave. In the PMS, edit in the PMS. In the CSV, edit in the CSV. But is it possible to get something like excel or numbers built into Weave for Core offices? So creating/editing can be simplified. Thank you.

Adding this feature would be incredibly useful. It makes no sense that we cannot make edits to information that is already there. It results in a poor user experience for us, the ones that are paying for this software.
Has there been any movement on this enhancement request? Please update.

I import users from a .csv file. There is what I thought was a bug that if you go to a patient record, and attempt to update anything in the record a "Failed to update custom contact" error happens. I was informed by Frida that I am observing the expected behavior and in fact you shouldn't be able to update a contact in the software if it is imported from a .csv. But a custom contact that should be possible.
That makes zero sense as an end user. First there is an edit contact button, and second it would make sense that updating a record is basic functionality. Sending an update query back to a DB or data file should not be that difficult, although I didn't write the code so I very well could be mistaken.
My enhancement request is that if I have an update contact button, the functionality should allow for the listed information to be able to be updated.

I know I've reached out before but I cannot impress enough the importance of allowing us to edit OUR OWN database. Patients have changes to phone numbers all the time. We love this system however, this one item really needs addressing. I cannot reupload my csv database. It is very cumbersome to scrub all 20,000 patients, many who are deceased or no longer coming to our office. When changes need to be made, I have to go into the initial Weave Master csv file and edit it. I try to do it once a week but last week alone had 31 changes. Then I upload the same master again. Please, Please, Please, allow us to edit the patient database in Weave! Thank you.

I have been working with Richard for our on-boarding. He is very easy to work with and patiently answers my millions of questions.
However, my office has come across a problem that has not been resolved.
It has to do with editing a patient that was previously uploaded from the initial CSV file. We absolutely need this to be a working function.
Per Richard, this is not something the engineering team can/will fix.
Not too happy about that. We should be able to edit ANY patient from the app, not just the patients that were added manually after the initial download. For instance, change or add a phone number, email address, spelling of a name etc. The CSV file was uploaded from our downloaded database. The process in which I have to ‘scrub’ the list is extensive and I cannot conceive of doing this multiple times a day/week/month.
He did suggest that the original Master file can be altered and then re-upload into Weave, however, again, that is very time consuming for me. I have an office to run so you can imagine that I really don't have time in my day to make these little changes. The front office staff should be able to make the changes on the fly.
I would really appreciate if you would revisit this problem and let me know asap.

Have multiple patients with same name in our system because we still can't edit or delete them. Would like to be able to edit or delete when a patient changes phone number or if we had to add the name and new cell phone- would be nice to delete old patient.
